The Blomsholm Cabin
A PLACE TO ENJOY
This is a modern cabin with a hot tub at 38 degrees all year round. The cottage has a lovely space with double ceiling height in the combined family room and kitchen. There is a bedroom with a double bed and a loft with two single beds and one extra bed.
The cottage has all amenities such as dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine. It is located in the corner of our garden with a lush view of Lake Färingen. It is a beautiful reed area that opens into a small pond with rapids. In the garden there are coffee tables, jumping jacks and swings.
Why stay here?
Everything is new and fresh and the house is equipped for cooking. Microwave and dishwasher are of course available. The grill is ready on the balcony just outside the kitchen and the hot tub just slides into it.

Blomsholm is an ancient heritage area that is right next door and there are nice walking paths here. We have compiled some information about our personal favorite restaurants, beaches and suggestions for excursions that will be in the cabin when you arrive. Blomsholm is close to the E6, so it's easy to get here and easy to go on adventures in Bohuslän.
For rambunctious children there is a trampoline during the warmer half of the year, toys and large areas outside to move around. Cubes are available to borrow and there are bikes in most sizes.
It is only 10 minutes to bathing spots by the sea by car and 1 km to bathing spots in the lake. Then there is the hot tub as a safe card too.
CLEANING AND BEDDING
Guests bring their own bed linen and towels and clean the cabin before leaving. It`s possible to rent bed linen and towels (20 € per person).
Hot tube
Of course it's great to go out to the sea and experience the west coast for real, but honestly, the Swedish weather is not completely reliable. Nice to know that you in the evening can relax into the hot tube watching the stars or your children can enjoy them selfes while you prepare a nice barbeque meal at the terrace. There is no bubbles in the tube, but there is lights and 38 C from April 1.
At the Blomsholm Cabin
Kitchen
In the kitchen there is a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven, induction hob, coffee maker, microwave and kettle. Cooking oil and spices are available.
There is also a snack bar with chips, drinks, ice cream. You pay this in cash.
Living room
There is wi-fi (fiber) and there is a Chromecast for the TV and a DVD player. Cromecast has a basic range of TV channels and Netflix. You can also log in to your own accounts on other channels. There are toys and puzzles and we have lots of movies that you can borrow.
Travel with children
There is a travel cot and a baby chair.
Travel cot with changing table has recently been purchased and we charge 20 euro per stay to finance it. It is a good model and bedded with a fluffy duvet and pillow. There is room for it in the family room upstaires. Not in the bedroom.
Bedroom
In the bedroom there is a double bed of 160 cm. The opening window overlooks the forest. The bedroom is small, the floor space around the bed is about 30 cm. There is a wardrobe with hangers and shelves.
Uppstairs
Here it is cozy for both adults and children to sleep, but keep in mind that the stairs are not childproof with a gate. The stairs lead up to two single beds or a double bed of 180 cm. An extra mattress or travel cot can fit either here or in the family room.
The attic railing
As protection from the loft, a pattern of a couple of hundred meters of steel cable is drawn according to our own design. The high ceiling in the family room and kitchen gives the cabin a fantastic space.
The entrance
In the hallway there is a shoe cabinet on the right. The bedroom is on the right and the bathroom on the left. Straight ahead is the family room with kitchen and the large balcony. There are blackout curtains for all windows, also in the family room
A hot tube
On the terrace you can enjoy a nice bath in the tub. The bath holds 37-38 degrees, has no bubbles but a lovely lighting.
Garden
Here you live next to the nature, with a large lawn, lovely terrace, coffee table in the forest grove and the forest right upon. The birds are constantly chirping and deer, squirrels and frogs are frequent visitors.

BLOMSHOLM
With us, the surroundings offer great variety and it is very nice to walk here. If you want to go a little further and visit a cave, we recommend that you hook on the Bohusleden trail. Read more about it here.
Lake Färingen
Färingen is located right next to the garden. It is a reed area with a small rapid so it is not possible to swim from here but it is beautiful and nature comes close. There is a rich bird life.
Bath at Färingen
Färingen's bathing area is located 1 km from the cottage and has both cliffs and a small sandy beach.
Antiquities
A few hundred meters from the cottage is Sweden's third largest shipwreck, Blomsholm's shipwreck. There is also a judge's ring and other ancient monuments beautifully located in an oak forest. We recommend our guests to take the opportunity to take a walk in the surroundings.
Garden
In the garden there is a fantastic place where the crowns of leaves meet and create a lovely atmosphere. There are coffee tables and high swings here. There is plenty of space for children to run around on. The garden is shared with the host couple's family. A substantial trampoline is available for hopeful children. .
